INTRODUCING: ASHLEY BERD

I am a second-year Master's of Urban Planning Student at Texas A&M University, pursuing a sustainable urbanism and transportation planning certificate. My interest in transportation focuses on finding methods for improving bike mobility, infrastructure, and safety, leading to increased ridership and decreased auto-dependency. My interest in sustainability centers around living walls and urban gardens, which can beautify an area and address climate change through food security, reducing the urban heat island effect and energy costs.

Previously, I have five years of experience as a Manager in the manufacturing industry. My determination to turn information into action has contributed to my most recent success at SPIbelt, where I led the Expo Department. I grew this part of the business by offering new ideas and acting upon those approved ideas to improve the department's profitability.
